Hi! My name is Pierre, a Frenchman who lives in the ancient, sunburnt land of Australia.
I am a nature lover who has always been fascinated by beauty, the diversity of the world, the miracle of life.
In my mid-twenties, I graduated from a Masters in Genetics and Animal Physiology, but rather than pursuing a career in a gloomy pharmacological lab, I landed in Australia to embrace a more artistic career and study the world around me through the lens of a camera.
Over the years, I have developed a passion for photographing both people and nature ; capturing fleeting moments that make our lives so beautiful, rich and meaningful.
More than just a profession, photography also took me on an exciting journey to self-discovery.
By focusing on the beauty of the natural and human world, I had a chance to explore our human nature.
What makes us truly happy is not money, security or even longevity, but the quality of our social relationships.
We are social animals who crave connection to others and I am at my happiest when capturing profound harmonious connections.
And yet, in this high-tech century, with all its success, I have seen how people tend to be more isolated, anxious and depressed.
Excessive technology and urban environments seem to have disconnected them from each other and alienated them from nature.
A few years ago, anxious myself, feeling increasingly estranged to my surroundings, I left the city and settled down in the heart of a world-heritage rainforest called Springbrook.
There, living amongst nature in a wooden house visited by incredible wildlife, chasing with my camera the waterfalls, the setting suns and the rising moons ; There, observing actively the natural cycles and rhythms, I found beauty, harmony and wellbeing.
I felt a part of a nature, once more. My soul experienced a sense of belonging to the land, the water, the air and the fire and I surrendered to this daily bliss.
Today, I invite you to come for a visit, to reconnect with nature and with each other.
Together we can contemplate beauty, experience wellness and care for the protection of our natural world.
